The rustle of stitched-cloth wings of the humunculus was battered by the onslaught of the Spine's winds. The small bulb of a construct fought its way through the snowstorm in order to arrive at the doorstep of the foreboding mansion. With fingers shaped like brittle sticks, the creature did its best to jam the missive it bore under the bottom of the reinforced door before the gales swept it away.
To whoever it may concern,
If this letter may somehow find its way to the gentleman I spoke to a few nights ago, the one with the quarreling wardens, I'd love to take him up on the offer of "stopping by sometime". As long as the Lady we've discussed isn't too adverse to the concept, I'd be honored to pay visit to those cold reaches. Unfortunately, I am saddened to state that there are a few stipulations. I prefer wines reddened by fruit rather than the pulse of life, and I'd greatly appreciate if the main course was not yours truly. After much thought, however, I'm sure that relations would remain cordial, and despite the weather outside, the hospitality would be warm. I hope that an evening of kind company and keen conversation may be arranged.
Based on the rumors that I've heard around the fires to the south, I'm sure that an invitation to such an arrangement would be able to find its way to my residence at the third room of the Second Wind Inn.
Much obliged,
The transient defender of Aquor cattle
