*Angus pulls another piece of parchment and begins to draft a letter in the Dwarven tongue for his Thane.*
Thane Eriak Bristlebeard,
I hope this letter finds you well. I write to solicit your support and endorsement so as to reopen mining operations in Schild Mountain. General Dyrn Stonewhisper is prepared to lead the Skull Cleaver Strike Force into the blessed mountain. The vein of sacred silver is currently beyond our reach, but within our ability to re-secure with Moradin’s blessing.
Our purpose is also to negotiate a long term lease of the mountain for Whurest, and in the best interest of the Sundren economy. I propose, with your blessing and support, to re-establish a secure outpost along Twin Peak’s Road manned with capable Whurest members. This will bring some stability to the region without taxing the already overburdened Legion. There is an Inn at the base of the mountain where miners and Moradin’s folk could henceforth meet and mingle. Perhaps a member of our Hall’s would be interested in this business endeavor? The leasing of Schild would allow us to populate the halls of the mountain with Dwarves capable of mining Adamantine, while also allowing us to construct blacksmith areas with forges to craft and transport Dwarven arms and armor. I plan to offer 500,000 gold pieces to the Sundren authorities, with your blessing, to lease the mountain and its halls.
