Description of Incident: I received a quantity of two blueberry scones from Sergeant Julia Arvison, a Blackwood Company mercenary, as a gift following a previous conversation on the edible treats. After conducting a thorough examination to ensure that the scones contained no poisons, my analysis is as follows:
The scones appeared to be made from a base of oatmeal, which provided a pleasing texture not normally found in scones using wheat as their base. The inclusion of blueberries, which tasted fresh and tart, added a light balance of sweetness to the nutty flavor of the oatmeal.
The overall look of the scones did not detract from their edibility, but there are definitely opportunities for improvement. The shape was not uniform, and I was uncertain as to whether or not they were supposed to be round or triangular in nature. It would appear that the scones were placed upon their baking sheet using a 'spoon drop' technique, which while satisfactory for common household usage, is not a proper presentation for the treat.
Despite not having fresh cream available, the scones were eaten and enjoyed. It is my recommendation that their creator continue to improve her craft and experiment with different combinations of baking techniques.
