*A letter is delivered to all guild members of the Ordo, and to Aldrect and Drashan by jailhouse scribe*
Dear comrades and friends,
I write you this letter from the confinments of the Sundaran Prison. I am sure you are all wondering what happened to me, and I should explain myself. When I arrived within these lands I witnessed a great evil before me, this evil was Aznar, the Red Wizard of Thay. I witnissed him destroy many people with a powerfull death spell, and at that moment I decided to follow him. Under his tutalage I would learn his secrets, focus the weave, and monitor the Red Wizards. Aznar was responsible for much, he was the one who produced the belt that turned Kai Nightwind into a Female, and even dominated his soul. He had plans to sell narcotics from the enclave, as they continue to do now. Also he had plans to forge Bloodied Ones, powerful super soldier loyal only to Thay... what need would they be out here is beyond me. Lastly... I recieved plans for his Phylactry to make himself into a Lich. As a Kelemvorite this goes against all I stand for, and many good people would have perished, as in order to make the Phylactry he must sacrifice many souls.
His plans to change into a Lich were hastened, so I had to act quickly. Foolish I imagine... but Aznar was destroyed as well with the Enclave in a fire. It was I who did this, and that is why I am in this cell. I have been sentanced to two years for failing to protect the Sundren people... a charge no doubt fueled by Thays bribes... as Aznar is dead and no more, so I would say I was very effective in protecting the people. I would not even get a Tyran to judge me.. instead it was a Tormite who refused to listen to me even though I am a Tiefling.
The other charge is consorting with Drow. This is true, as Aznars apprentice I was forced to deal with the Drow. Isiovien in particular. This was a means to keep an eye on them, to wonder what they were doing. I learned of their wishes to Assassinate SiNafay, and to assassinate others, effectivly spoiling their plans. Aznar was selling them powerful tools for destruction, to wage war with the surface and destabilize the region for Thays profit and power gain, as per his orders from Thay. I gathered what information I had on the Drow, waiting to turn the tables on them. I sent a missive to the Steward regarding this, but I feel there will be no response. Be warry of not just Renor'Cress, but of Olis'inth'vargh, for they are locked in a grudge match of somekind.
I am in this cell alone, and treated very poorly. I am so tired and hungry, I have not seen the light of day for longer then I can remember. If I do not escape this place with my life then I wish for you all to continue the guild, to not forget that the weave is all around us and is precious... and it must be protected.
Look to Garion and Lillipan for guidance, if I do not return from this place then I ask you not remember me for my heritage or my crimes, but for what I did with the weave. Do not trust Thay, nothing but death and dominance will come from them. They seek to enslave and destroy us all. Aznar was but a small power... Thay has many more.
