  • A letter to the High Adjudicator Tornbrook

A dirty faced boy runs up to guard standing outside the Triumvirates Temple and with a giggle drops a letter at his feet then skips off and disappears into the surrounding buildings of the military ward.

    The letter reads
    --------------------
    High Adjudicator Tornbrook

You do not know me yet.
I do you a service by pointing out the callous disregard for life and lack of honor your underlings display for their own Order.
A man who goes by the name of Trevor and frequents the Triads temple acquired the armor of a colleague of mine through dishonest means. In other words he stole it to be straight forth.
This man of questionable integrity has also been heard mocking your Honorable self within the very walls of the Triumvirates holy temple. Perhaps he was influenced to act in such lowly manner by the quality of the company he keeps. A Aurilte lady named Winter. Who would have thought such faiths intermixed so freely within your walls.
My colleagues and I wished to recover my friend's armor he had paid for with honestly earned gold, so we hatched a plan that surely any man would not fail, even a villain such as this Trevor.
Most men place a woman's life higher then thier own. On this premise we acted.
Being forced into this desperate action we reluctantly convinced a brave young lady named Aloes to be our hostage.
I must highly commend the brave lass as even though she was out numbered she did her faith proud. I have never been fond of followers of Torm, but no flaw could be found in her actions.
She accompanied us to the Second Wind inn where we met up with the woman named Winter. She lied through her teeth denying any knowledge of the matter and knowing the villian Trevor until certain facts were presented that exposed her dishonesty.
We promised a simple exchange of the Lady Aloes for the stolen armor. Of course we wished no outside parties involved as this was a matter between men and we expected only upfront action and honorable behavior.
I personally moved the young lady to a safe location and my colleagues waited to recover my friends stolen armor.
Alas we were betrayed! A war party descended upon my friends and they fell honorably in battle against despicable foes.
Losing contact with my friends mentally I knew what had befallen my allies. Betrayal. Even more shocking was the fact that members of the legion had knowingly thrown the life of the Lady Aloes way willingly and with callous disregard.
Fortunate for Miss Aloes, I am a man of Law and Honor and my word had been given for her safety. So much blood spilled over a suit of metal. Being that it was pointless to inconvenience Lady Aloes any longer I released her at this point after carefully tending her wounds. I returned to my home to grieve the loss of my fine companions.
I have written this letter to you High Adjudicator because I know you do not appreciate such vile actions being enacted by your own men. I know it is painful to hear the failures of your company but I know you will serve justice and what is in the best interest of Sundren by investigating and correcting this matter.

    Sincerely,
    F.U.
