To whom it may concern,
I write here to inform of an incident which happened upon the road between the Gate of the Sunderer and the Second Wind Inn.
While sitting at the Second Wind's outdoor firepit, an elf warned me that there were bandits on the road towards the Gate. Something about his manner struck me as peculiar, almost boasting, and so I decided it best to investigate. On the road, just shy of the covered bridge, I found the bodies of one Noril De'nor and Darcy Lothara, deep in mud, and with signs of recent battle. Both were dead.
I dragged the two to the temple of Helm, where they received proper care, and are now in fine condition. It is worth noting that neither body was robbed of more than a handful of coinage; far less than might have been taken, suggesting it was not the work of bandits at all.
I provide here a brief description of the man who warned us, in case you desire to find him for questioning:
Name (given): Falthias Un'way.
Hair: Dirty blonde, held in ponytail.
Distinguishing marks: Scar down cheek. Eyepatch.
I understand you are terribly busy, and this likely will not warrant investigation, but thus have I fulfilled my obligations as an upstanding citizen.
Best regards,
Belle Hops.
