Dear Narisold,
It has been a while since we last spoke and our parting was plagued by a rather ill assortment of words. Regardless, I am willing to dwell on more important matters than my proper place amongst the family. I am in great need of your wisdom and experience Jointed One.
I have witnessed the death of one who bears the Silver Threads of Fate. He died after he succumbed to his wounds after a battle with a great evil and was even beyond the divine magicks of healers of the Red Knight, despite their quick response. I am well aware that even those that bear the Threads eventually meet their end, however I cannot help but feel this one died before his appointed time. I am no diviner, speaker of the spirits, or expert of how the fates work. However, I feel this sensation deep within my heart and it worries me immensely.
I know aunty Lucrecia reports my findings to you. I know you already know that Sundren has experienced two threadbearers already. This has never happened as far as the Wiltenholm and Larkmeadow families know in any other land.
What I wish for is a better understanding of what could possibly be happening in the land I wish to raise my family. There are many of our blood that see the Threads far more clearly than I and understand them far better as well. I wish to know if the tales about the premature severing of the Threads are true, and it is an bad omen for this land. I wish for your help Jointed One, on behalf of the hundreds of thousands of people that inhabit this valley.
Sincerly,
Osclow
