  • Visions from Gorm

Nulinus walked in to the four lanters after the nights events. "Two innocents, and a demon..." He groans rubbing at the side of his head. He sets him self down in one of the booths and pulls a bundled piece of cloth from his pack, laying it down on the table. He unfolds the cloth, looking to the vile dagger that lay before him. It hads no doubt been used in sacrifice, and gods know what else. He examines it for a long moment, before putting it away safely in his satchel. Upon making sure it was placed away and out of sight, he sat back into his seat with a sigh, closing his eyes to relive the events.

Late at night, kneeling by his bed side with his holy symbol of gorm layed out upon his bed, he prayed. Everything seemed routine, and he was about to finish when he heard a resounding ring in his ears, and colors and shapes mixing around in his head, forming images and faces of... Children? He grunts, cluching at the sides of his head as he feels a head ache coming on. In the black and white images, he could see the Viridale, a demon... entering a cave. Blood. Disimbodied body parts. It was terrible. The vision ended with a single word whispered into his ear.

    Help

Before he could react, Nulinus found his eyes shooting open, and his body hurling towards a window. H?e crashes through the window, flipping out of control and landing on his stomach. He immediately stands, brushing off the broken glass and debris. A fire place. A bed... Cirion? It was the room in the Sundren comfort, Cirion's in fact. With little delay, Nulinus informed Cirion as much as he could before making off to the Exigo to gather allies.

There was little time, and little he wanted to waste. as soon as they were ready, they made way to the untrodden grounds, towards the cave he saw in his vision. The cave was full of rotting flesh golems. Pressing through the construct forces, with the help of the various skilled persons, they made way to a peculiar door with dwarven runs upon it. It was a simple riddle, which Logan, a halfling that companied them, answered with little delay. On the other side? more flesh golems.

With the loss of the wizard(Warlock) and the loss of the mage-warrior, they were hard pressed, and took many casulties. Nulinus and the others made way into the tunnels, warily glancing to each side. Nearly tripping over a body. Blood. Brains. Organs and bone chips. The party members gagged, and looked away as they saw the remains of what was once a girl, but now just a mauled corpse. The samurai, Mirumoto did the deed of carrying the poor soul away. Nulinus took a quick glance to the face, only to find the body lacked once. His throatr tightened, and they continued.

With Logan, Mirumoto, Perry, and the other several allies they had with them, they made way to a wall which had a blood trail moving through it -- obviously a secret passage, pointed out by the others. What laid inside was a sight to see.

More carnage. Walls literaly painted in blood. Piles of limbs. Nulnisu gripped his axe, looking over the room at the side of the elven paladin. The elves keen eyes spotted something in the corner of the pile of limbs... moving, trembling. A child

This was almost surreal, the scene before them. A child amongst these horrors? The dwarven divine champion of Gorm along with Glandur and Cirion moved to console the child, to... biring it to its senses. It was futile, the child was a victim to the darker part of necromancy. It had been turned undead. The hcild was restrained with a sheet by the elf, and with little reluctance, Nulinus hacked the undead thing to pieces. All was set, and they were ready to leave. The dwarf was reluctant, heading to the altar to examine it closer. Upon it, the dagger. He gazed upon it in wonder, quickly wrapping it in cloth as the flames from his companions torches began to consume the vile place, and they sped away, hoping they would never have to witness such a thing again... though that is foolish to think so.
