  • The Lady of The Knife

Written in Kathryn Blake's little red book, the text is completely in Draconic, and placed on a loose sheet of Vellum that is held inside the book, about halfway through.

" My mind is clear for the first time since I can remember. There is no doubt no hesitation, no regret. I have found my place, my blood names me dragon kin, but I am human as well, I am a sorceress and a scholar, I am a defender, I survived the nightmare of the shadow, and I have survived betrayal and pain. My trial by fire has begun, and I shall master it. I shall find love where I can find it, comradeship where it lives, I shall hold my head high and endure whatever the enemies of my home bring to me. I shall walk in all world, I shall speak to the Veritas, I shall find council in the Temple of the triad, I shall walk the lonely paths of the Schild mountains, I shall make friends of the birds, I shall seek out the enemies of my home wherever they may lie. I will make my own honor. I shall discover forgiveness, I shall not forget. I will not hesitate to destroy that which threatens this land, I am the Lady of the Knife, I will walk the edge and stay forever on that narrow path. This vow only I give, and I give it to none but myself. Sundren is my home, and I will protect it. No matter the cost. Let the enemies of peace beware. As long as I draw breath I shall stalk their paths, and should they become lax in their defense then one day, they shall look behind them and see me, and on that day. Judgement shall be done unto them. This is my vow, I am The Lady of the Knife.
