  • Salagar Returns

The voyage from Waterdeep to Sundren was a long and exhausting one, but Salagar used the time to fleece some of the sailors gambling. He actually made a tidy sum during the voyage. Luckily, they knew Salagar's skill with his daggers and nobody tried to avenge their losses - well, one guy did, but after he fellow sailors saw what Salagar did to him with his daggers, the rest left him alone.

His time in Waterdeep was very productive. He was able to talk to a number of his old contacts and find out who had killed his father. After he found this out, it was only a matter of time before Salagar had slit his throat and drop him in the bay. Of course, he made it so that the death could not be linked to him, but ever cautious, Salagar had booked passage that same night and left Waterdeep before the person he killed could be missed.

The letter he had received describing his father's death had been a blow. His father had still been quite hale and was running the family business - import/export in his usual gruff but efficient manner. Salagar often thought to himself that if he had not left when he did, that his father would still be alive? But, he had to leave, when you have a bounty on your head from the Shadow Thieves, its best to leave some distance between you and them - thus, he had set out for Sundren.

Then again, they may be after him now for sure, they may even come to Sundren, if they ever find out that Salagar killed one of their masters to avenge his father.

Salagar sighed as he drew in breath at Port Aventhyr. It was good to be back in Sundren. He wondered if the same people were still around and if there was anything interesting going on? Well, he would soon find out.
