Ok, I know this has been my 3rd character post on here ((I have chronic character restart syndrome--its a curse)), but since I keep getting "character has too many feats" messages and after reinstalling NWN2, i just decided to go with something new and fresh. Somethign I felt I could really interact with the natives with. Thats when Adrian came about.
NAME: Adrian Karr
RACE: Human
AGE: 32
DEITY: Sune
ALIGNMENT: True Neutral
CLASS: Bard (possibly multi in Pale Master later...read background to see why)
BACKROUND:
Adrian was always a simple business man. He owned and operated a tavern in the "Gem of the North," Silverymoon with his beautiful, elegant wife, Anastasia. Every night, Adrian would play his lute and harp for the customers of The Drunken Wendigo, while Anastasia would dance and entertain. Charming and intelligent, but not overly strong or agile, Adrian is overall a good hearted person. Life was good--and Adrian had it all.
That is, until Anastasia fell ill with a mysterious plague. For weeks Adrian refused to leave his wife's side, hoping that she would somehow pull through and live. After her death, he sought the aid of the Spellguards of Silverymoon, and together, they locked her body away in a casket of the purest ice. She now lies in a special tomb built underneath The Wendigo, her body being perfectly preserved.
Adrian was distraught after her death. He became obsessed with necromatic magics and texts, often spending days at a time in the libraries searching for a way to bring his wife back to life. For years he searched for the answers he sought, until one night a rather peculiar traveler came to his inn. The traveler spoke of a secretive, reclusive cult of necromancers who recently arrived in his lands. The group was called the Dark Advent. Adrian suddenly gained a new-found purpose--He would leave the inn in the hands of his closest friend, Anastasia's brother Dylan, and seek out the libraries and aid of these necromancers, no matter the costs.
PERSONALITY:
Despite his grimness and rather apparent interest in the dead, Adrian is quite cheerful (most of the time). He feels that the best way to remember his wife is to continue on and spread her vivacious love of life and beauty. As such, he has taken up following the teachings of Sune, his wife's patron diety. He is never seen without his trinket--the golden hairpin that belonged to his wife (He guards that thing with his life). Adrian is always seeking additional knowledge, be it in the necromatic texts or new stories to tell to his wife once he completes his task ((he is always optimistic that he will succeed, even if most others would say otherwise)).
Going to be playing him as a heavy magic using bard. He will generally stay out of the fray, using his songs and spells to debuff his enemies while more hearty companions give the killing blow. Any chance for him to investigate a ghost or spirit, or any undead for that matter, you will probably see him there.
