  • The problem with magic

Jaggath leaned against a wall, his head pounding. This was bad, he hadn't felt much worse then he did now. The pain did start to recede slowly. The fog in his mind cleared with the lessenning of the pain. "Bloody shadow mages and their bloody artifacts." He mutterred.

Jaggath had been contacted by his masters, the Shadovar, to see if he could retreive an ancient Nethrenese artifact. Why they needed it was beyond him. Probably knew what was going to happen and got a chuckle out of it.

He looked at the rod in his hand. It was dark with little feature except a large blue jewel at the top. It was glowing when he first grabbed it. It wasn't any more. Jaggath growled and tossed it away into the darkness. And it was bloody dark he realized. The only light coming from a faint glow down the corridor.

What the hell Jaggath thought as he started toward it May as well see what it is. Not much it turned out. A glowing rock. Big surprise there. At least there was a door here. Jaggath walked up and openned it. He was surprised at the chill that assaulted him as soon as he did. The glowing rock behind him winked out and the entire room grew cold. Very cold. Jaggath hated the cold. "Damn mages"

Well at least if there was an outside there was some where to go. He had a few days trail rations. Jaggath started out into the cold, snowy landscape.
