  • Extra-Dimensional Beings Afoot!

*Late on the eve of the 14th of Kythorn, Tirones Raziel Sedna had been patrolling the roads of the Viridale Forest by order of his new unit, the 12th Legion. That night, he was led to the Mossclaw encampment, a trail of Gnoll and Goblin bodies polluting the grounds on the way there. Inside the encampment he met a Dwarf named Fenar, whom he assisted in eliminating the Mossclaw threat. The two were beseiged by a giant demon the beasts had been attempting to summon, which they fought valiantly against. Unfortunately, as the demon was in its death throes, it lashed back violently against the two heroes, critically wounding both Raziel and Fenar before escaping the material plane. Tirones Sedna was knocked out and was believed to be dead, but the Dwarf Fenar bandaged him back to consciousness, despite the soldier's grievous wounds. Fenar successfully brought Tirones Sedna back to the Legion camp on the Viridale border, where a legionnaire clinicus nursed the two back to full health. The two thanked each other and the clinicus graciously and said their farewells, parting ways. Determined to make his superiors aware of the extra-dimensional threat, he makes his way to the 12th Legion headquarters at Mossdale to make his report.. *

The long rest the Tirones was ordered to take helped him immensely; his left leg which was previously shaking uncontrollably had finally calmed, making it easy enough for him to walk, albeit with a light limp. The young soldier shrugged it off stoicly, doing his best to look 100% well and rested as he made his way past the other enlistees at the barracks in Viridale. As he neared the border encampment exit, he looked up at the sky and sighed, thinking to himself.

"Torm.. grant me to strength to overcome this injury.. and the determination to prevent myself from faltering," Raziel said to himself in his mind, knowing the trip from Viridale to Mossdale would be a long one. With a combination of fierce tenacity to duty and invocations of personal strength to Torm, Tirones Sedna set out to his destination.

After a night in Sundren, resting at one of the local inns, Tirones Sedna had finally made his way to the giant, looming walls of Arbiter's Stand in Mossdale. He had been here once before, when he was originally assigned to the unit, but had not been back since. The cascading walls of stone that surrounded the fortress were all too familiar, gave him a reassuring feeling; he knew he was safe here, at least for the time being.

Standing before the massive, reinforced doors of the keep, Raziel looked to the guards, rendering the proper salute to allow entrance inside.

"What's your business, Tirones? Centurio Twilight is in a meeting now, he doesn't have time for stragglers like you," the guard retorted, followed by an insulting chuckle.

Raziel stood firm, keeping a determined gaze on the infantryman, not accepting no as an answer. He held his salute.

"Fine. Its your ass, then." the guard scoffed, opening the doors of the keep.

"You have my thanks, Immunes," said Tirones Sedna with a respectful tone before heading into the building.

Inside, Tirones Sedna followed the main corridor to the main lyceum, where he could see the Centurio speaking to two other important-looking figures. Along both sides of the room were a few other high-ranked enlistees, actively listening to the discussion, remaining fully quiet or whispering to each other quietly enough as to not disturb the nature of the room. As he approached, the CO and his associates abruptly silenced themselves, looking to the Tirones with contempt.

Tirones Sedna approached diligently, despite the scowling looks from all sides of the room. He snapped himself to the position of attention when close enough to the officers, calling out in a firm tone.

"Pardon my intrusion, Sirs, but I come with a report of unknown evils from Viridale Forest," he said, not sure how his superiors would react.

Centurio Twilight looked to the two other officers, sighing.

"Sephanus, Kixen.. go take a five-minute breather." said the Centruio as he stood, the other two officers following suit and casting evil eyes upon the Tirones as they moved past him. Centurio Twilight stepped from his chair to the Tirones, getting ridiculously close to his face.

"So... you think you have jurisdiction to walk in here, interrupt an important meeting between my officers and I, only to report a bunch of worthless information about goblins and gnolls?" Centurio Twilight took a few steps back, encircling the Tirones as he spoke to him.

"Forgive me, Sir, but I do not come reporting genereal information on the Mossdale. I bring news of their successful attempt of the summoning of a demon." Tirones Sedna said calmly. His nerves were truly being tested; he could hear the enlistees amongst the audience of the Centurio whispering insults about him.

Centurio Twilight opened his eyes slightly interested at the news. "A demon.. demons.." he turned his back on the Tirones, thinking to himself for a few moments.

"So what you're telling me.." Centurio Twilight spun back around, facing the Tirones, looking directly into his eyes. ".. is that a bunch of idiot goblins, gnolls.. whatever.. summoned a demon. Do I look like a moron to you?" The Centurio stepped closer to Raziel, his gaze unerringly locked on his. "I want an answer."

Raziel opened his mouth to speak, but was quickly shot down by his commanding officer. "Don't even open your mouth. You're full of shit; a bunch of stupid animals could never do such a thing and you're an idiot if you think so." the Centurio's insult resounded throughout the lyceum, the enlistees in the audience chuckling.

"Let me remind you of the repercussions of lying to a commanding officer, Tirones. You've heard of an article 15, have you not?"

Raziel nodded, eager to speak his innocence, but knew better to interrupt his commanding officer further.

"Good," said the Centurio. "Then you'll know better than to ever walk in here and waste my time again." The Myrios sat back down in his chair, pulling out a quill from an ink container and making a few small notes on a scroll. "You'll find the door behind you."

"Sir, with all due respect, what of the fores.."

"I'll handle it how I see fit. Get out of my building. Dismissed." said the Centurio without looking up.
