Sevian observes three children playing amongst on the hill near Sundren City, right outside the wall. There is a large tree and a small pond, bushes scattered about. Two of them are boys, and one a girl, and they would seem to be the ones in a book that eventually grow up to be great adventurers.
They are chuckling and laughing, and it is near sunset. They look up at the sky smiling each, and the smaller boy of the pair gets a wide grin. He says quickly -
Smaller Boy: Hey, how 'bout one mor' game of hide n' seek.
The other two nod happily and run off, and the child who suggested keeps his face on the ground closing his eyes, counting.
Sevian quickly sneaking around in the shadows, bending them enough to stay hidden, follows the girl. As she finds a spot and giggles she hears
Small Boy: Ready or not, here I come!
She giggles more, hiding in the trees trunk where the other two boys have never looked nor try to hide. Her ears catch the attention of a whisp of wind as if a bow string shot, and a hand quickly covers her mouth. Her eyes grow wide with fear, and she attempts to scream looking into the eyes of Sevian. He takes his other hand lowering his mask and revealing fake wolves teeth and the girl passes out as he growls silently. Sevian chuckles to himself and pulls her out, throwing her to one of the skeletons.
Sevian: Take her now, be quick. I don't want anyone seeing any of us!
The skeleton fades grasping a signet, into the air after just a few moments.
Sevian catches a voice from his ear growing close.
Bigger Boy: You cheated when you found me! You used your magic studies to help you!
Smaller Boy: Nu' uh, I foun' you fair an' square!"
A movement from the bushes is heard, and the smaller boy quickly is drawn in running.
Smaller Boy: Found you!
A quick yelp is heard from the boy as Sevian pops him on the back of the head knocking him out with a ol' timey billy jack. The Bigger boy hears the sound and cocks his head, Sevian quickly switching his view out of the bushes to the boy. He bends the shadows a bit more, moving out making sure not to disturb the bushes. The zombies quickly grabs the Bigger Boy, and fades as well with the signet.
Bigger Boy: Are you ok in there?"
Sevian quickly appears from the shadows right infront of the boy staring him in the eyes.
Sevian: Oh I am quite fine!
The child screams and Sevian grabs him by the throat quickly, clenching the air from him. Grasping his own signent he winks at the kid -
Sevian: Oh I do hope you will enjoy what I have planned for you.
Sevian disappears the kid as well, and nothing is left.
Where three children played, future adventurers, darkness falls over they sky as the sun starts to go down.
