I have reached the tip, once again.
Every so often I manage; most times the blade shifts and I must forge on anew. Though, as relieved as I am to arrive here I know in time I must move on. One morning the sun will rise and the direction will change again; to a new path, a new destiny.
I never know where or when He will send me. But, always why. To protect, to uphold the laws of the land and remain ever watchful. Yet, I have faltered before. Been lax in my duty or fallen in battle. Still he urges me on. To strive to be like Him, the Great Guard.
Though my time here has been short I am desperate to find my purpose. Why the blade has yet to move: my unfinished task. I only hope that this time I will succeed. Until that time, my moment of triumph or failure, I will remain His image. Blade ready, vigilant.
Till I once more follow the blade.
