  • Greetings and Well Met

Greetings and Well Met to you all.

While the journey here was not the smoothest, I have become very fond of Sundren, its surrounds and most of all; its people. Over the last few weeks of exploring, talking and adventuring I have seen much of this land and have decided to make it my home (away from home).

For those who I have not met yet, I am . . . well . . . some would say, an older gentleman. My dark hair is now giving way to, what I like to call, distinguished shocks of grey, but my moustache remains thick and full. I often wear battle scarred full plate armour, and carry a shield emblazoned with the symbol of my lord and saviour, Tyr. I carry a long sword, one I found relatively recently, that is enchanted with some type of electrical charge, that tends to slip quite easily between the ribs of many a goblin or gnoll. I am often accused of being overly jovial in dire situations, but I have found, in my experience, that humour can be quite encouraging, even though some of my jokes and witty comments are pretty terrible.

For all this fun though, I take my faith seriously. I am a Paladin of Tyr and constantly try to meet his requirements. It is written in the Canon of Tyr, “Bad associations spoil useful habits”, and “What does darkness share with light?”, and “He that walks with the wicked one will himself be judged wicked”, these principles, to me, show that, while I can associate and discuss the truths from the word of Tyr with all, I can not, in good conscience, travel, adventure or quest with those who have darkness in their hearts and are making no attempt to repent and turn to the wisdom from above. So do not take it personally if I decline your invitation, but instead look to what is guiding you, for it is written, “It is not for man to direct even his step, rather let justice and truth be a lamp to your foot and a light to your roadway.”

I look forward to further adventures in this land, and meeting more of you all. So until we meet, may integrity and even-handedness always guide you.
