Since my discovery of audio book, I don't really listen to music a lot anymore, and when I do, it's mostly radio, so all over the place. As are my tastes in music, with the line drawn at German "Schlager" and a few other abberrations.
However, I get a special kick out of these guys (among others):
If you really loved me, Tim Minchin
Everyday Normal Guy, Jon Lajoie

For anyone wondering, gbbishop is referring to Bon Iver's album, entitled "For Emma, Forever Ago." My favorite song off that album is:
Bon Iver - Skinny Love

As of right now I'm listening to alot of Angelspit, Combichrist, Grendel, KMFDM, Tiamat, Imperative reaction, Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, and all sorts of other things. Also got into weird pirate themed metal.Elric Modner. - "Yesterday I dared struggle against tyranny, Today I dare to fight once again."

Haha, Pirate Metal, and its larger family tree of Folk Metal. Hilarious stuff, that. I have difficulty taking it seriously, but it's fun now and then. Some of it, anyway. Alestorm has some decent stuff, like:
Alestorm - Keelhauled
Not all of it's any good, however. Swashbuckle is so bad, it's often an example of some of the worst metal available, in my book. To indulge those now curious:
Swashbuckle - Cruiseship Terror
There is some actual Folk Metal I actually enjoy, however. TÝR is one of them. Largely due to their heavy influence from Progressive Metal, the likes of Dream Theater, for instance. TÝR actually have a firm grasp of technical skills on their instruments, as well as solid recording. They mix in such a way that it's not just a cacophony of sound.
Those curious:
TÝR - Hold The Heathen Hammer High
And for some Progressive Metal, as I mentioned:
Dream Theater - Glass Prison
(It's in two parts on YouTube, due to the song's length. Usually I wouldn't post a song, in such a case, but this being possibly their song of paramount quality, I feel it justified. Check it out. It is amazing.)
Because Metal is so damn common with the NWN2 community (pretty much RPers in general, it seems), I feel obligated to throw in some other music, as I usually do.
Sufjan Stevens - The Man of Metropolis Steals Our Hearts
The Flaming Lips - Pompeii Am Götterdämmerung
The Mars Volta - Inertiatic ESP
